Dermal Fillers

At CherryBomb Aesthetics our aim is to ensure optimal client comfort at all times. To minimise potential discomfort we ensure a topical anaesthesia is applied before the procedure to numb the treatment area. Most injectable products contain a local anaesthetic which also ease the pain during injection, and can last for 2-3 hours post procedure. It is advised to take regular paracetamol prior and post treatment to ease any discomfort from swelling. Wrinkle relaxant is given using a tiny needle so discomfort will be minimal.
Here at CherryBomb Aesthetics we have gone the extra mile to ensure cannulas are available. This is where a needle is used to pierce the skin only once and then a blunt device is inserted into one entry point from which the entire treatment is carried out. This technique is proven to cause less bruising due to reduced trauma, resulting in less down time. You are welcome to request a cannula if you would prefer one although this is not recommended for lips as using a needle ensures more precision.
You may experience redness, bruising and swelling in the injected areas. These effects should not last longer than 2 weeks. Light makeup can be applied 12 hours after procedure.
Please allow up to 14 days for swelling and bruising to go down. If you have any concerns after 14 days please send us an email at info@cherrybombaesthetics.com
At CHERRYBOMB Aesthetics we are dedicated to providing first class care to all of our patients. A detailed aftercare documentation can be found here. You will also be given a printed copy of your aftercare post procedure. Trust in a practitioner that has your health and safety as a first priority!
Every individual is different. What may give an immediate result on one patient may take two or three treatments on another. Likewise, what may last 1 year on one patient may last less than 12 weeks on another. This is due to several factors including lifestyle, skin type and metabolism. Filler does however take time to build, regardless of how natural you’d like your results. Please be patient and expect to visit frequently for top ups over the first year to build a base. This will help ensure your treatment are lasts longer and once that base is in place – should need less maintenance in the future.
In most cases filler can be dissolved and reversed by hyaluronidase. This is administrated via small injections to break the product down. See dissolving treatment here.
Your medical practitioner will review your features and lifestyle during your consultation and will use the product most suited to you for optimum results and longevity. At CherryBomb Aesthetics we pride ourselves as a premium brand and therefore only use premium FDA products such as Juvederm, Restylane and Teosyal.

Anti-wrinkle
-
Your anti-wrinkle treatment will firstly include an in-depth consultation with your Nurse Prescriber, who will assess your face and devise a treatment plan before prescribing Botox if suitable. A full comprehensive medical history will be taken, alongside any information regarding previous aesthetic treatments you have had. Your expectations and desires will be discussed alongside treatment suitability.
The procedure itself takes around 15 minutes, and involves skin disinfection & drug preparation. Small injections using microfine needles are made throughout the desired treatment area and full aftercare is given. We always advise a 2 week review post treatment, so that we can assess the effect of your treatment and make minor adjustments if necessary. The dose of toxin administered is documented and stored on your patient file, so that with each additional visit we will be able to ensure we follow your treatment plan and attain positive treatment outcomes.
Botulinum Toxin (known as Botox) is a neuromodulator that is injected into targeted treatment areas using an ultra-fine needle. It works by blocking the nerve signals needed for facial muscles to contract. Muscle movement is slowed, and cosmetic improvement then takes shape. Once injected, the neuromodulator relaxes the muscles and decreases their movement, which in turn reduces appearance of lines or wrinkles in the area. Effect starts to kick in anywhere from 3-7 days post injection, with final results being seen 14 days later.
At CHERRYBOMB Aesthetics we are dedicated to providing first class care to all of our patients. A detailed aftercare documentation can be found here. You will also be given a printed copy of your aftercare post procedure. Trust in a practitioner that has your health and safety as a first priority!
The procedure is not considered painful. Most patients report a brief period of discomfort during the injection, which does not persist once the procedure is complete. Numbing agent is not required, needles utilised for toxin procedures are as fine as a hair.
The results of Botox typically last between 3-4 months from the date of injection depending on the region treated. Over time the body metabolises the Botox, leading to the slow return of muscle movement in the treatment area. Patients can choose to maintain their Botox results for longer periods by undergoing periodic maintenance treatments every 3-4 months.
Some patients may wonder if they are ‘too young’ or ‘too old’ to try Botox. There is no right or wrong age to start using Botox, and we assess by presentation not by age. Patients should always receive a consultation by a medical prescribing professional prior to treatment, whereby suitability for treatment will be assessed accordingly. As a rough guide, we advise that when the fine lines start to etch and remain present on the skin surface whilst your face is AT REST, it’s time to consider treatment if these lines are bothersome. If your lines are very deep set and do not disappear when you stretch the surrounding skin, you may require alternate treatment alongside toxin.
Whilst this is a very low risk procedure, all risks and possible adverse outcomes are discussed at consultation. Toxin is not permanent, so any undesired side effects wear off after usually 8/12 weeks.
The complimentary 2-week review is not compulsory nor essential. This review is not a top up, but an assessment of your treatment outcomes. Toxin doesn’t work immediately, and unlike filler results are not seen for the first 7-10 days. 2 weeks post treatment, if a correctional dose is required it will be administered at this review appointment. If your toxin treatment has taken well, with no asymmetry or irregularity, additional toxin will not be required or administered.

General FAQs

The importance of using a registered medical professional cannot be underestimated. Only regulated doctors, dentists, pharmacists and registered nurses are appropriately qualified to give injectable cosmetic treatments. Our medical practitioners have undertaken several years of training and abide by the highly respected medical practice guidelines. They are also accountable to the Nursing & Midwifery council, the General Dental Council and are members of The British Association of Cosmetic Nurses, The Aesthetics Complications Expert Group and the clinic is Save Face accredited
Treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers should only be carried out in a clean, safe and appropriate clinical environment to avoid infection and permanent physical damage. Treatments should not be carried out for example, in a nail bar or tattoo parlour, but in a clinical facility.
All patients must be 18 at the time of the treatment. Anyone that looks under the age of 25 will be asked for ID.
We advise all patients to wait a minimum of 48 hours before flying. It is very rare for complications to occur, however in these circumstances you would need to return to the clinic for an emergency reversal procedure. Furthermore, changes in cabin pressure can precipitate the worsening of any swelling or bruising.

A thorough consultation is carried out before every treatment whereby goals and aims are discussed and we can give a realistic expectation of results. This is also a great time to ask any questions you may have, such as the name of the products that will be used, where the product came from and what qualifications, training and experience your practitioner has. We don’t believe patients should be pressured into treatments and therefore we advise to have a 24hr cooling-off period post consultation to go away and think about if this is the right decision for you.
Bookings can be made via our website using the BOOK NOW button. Alternatively, you can give us a call on 07918 711 281 and a member of our team will be happy to book you in over the phone. Please note, we do require a non-refundable booking fee of £50 to secure your appointment.
